A New Love

After reading the Twilight series I have found a new love for reading. I used to think the only reading material that was meant for me was US Weekly and In Touch. Not anymore. I have expanded my horizons, and am now in search of some other good books. I know it isn't normal to only want to read books that have "good" Vampires as the main Characters, so I am up for suggestions. Let me know some books you have fallen in love with that you think I must read! And, I already know about Nicolas Sparks...

Ok Marissa, I'll give you my list of favorites. If you liked Twilight, you may also like Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. Of course there is Harry Potter which I think is even more addicting than Twilight. You may also like Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts. I hope I've helped.

marissa,
i just wandered over because i saw that you had posted a comment on tyler's blog. i cannot believe that you have four kids! it makes me feel so old!
i second amanda's recommendations of rebecca, pride and predjudice, and harry potter. you might also like the phillippa gregory books about the wives of henry viii. they get a bit steamy in some parts, so be forewarned. i'd start with the other boleyn girl.
reading is a great way to escape reality for a while and if the book is good it makes you think about your own life as well.

ok so my all time fav books are a series by Lynn Gardener. She is a mormon arthor so you have to get them fron a church book store. the first one is called diamonds and danger. there are like 8 in the series i've read them all twice at least. and would read them again and probably will.

Hey! So I, like everyother Mormon stay at home mom LOVED the Stephenie Meyer's books. I even got Dana hooked on them too! My only suggestion for another series of books is the, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Fun read, nothing too scandalous. Although you do have to revert back to teenage reading it's a funny series. Thats my suggestion! Have a good day!

I like the Children of the Promise series. They are by an LDS author written somewhat like the Work and Glory series...LDS fictious family living through World War II. I was hooked and really enjoyed them. I liked the history part of it and feeling like you know the family. I keep hearing about Twilight...I think I will have to check them out.
